In 2006, the “Association des Etudiants et Eleves Rescapes du Genocide” (AERG) initiated a project to construct a complex to accommodate all orphans without a home to provide them a warm family atmosphere during holidays. A campaign dubbed ONE DOLLAR CAMPAIGN targeting the collection of Frw 1.5 billion was officially launched by the Minister of Foreign affairs on 4th April 2009.
